Herman L. Moses Scholarship
The Herman L. Moses Scholarship was established by Susan Adkins and Jonathan Adkins in honor of former Associate Vice President and Dean of Students for Student Affairs Herman L. Moses. The fund will support students who are employed by the Division of Student Life. One female and one male student will each receive a $1000 scholarship.
The West Virginia University Division of Student Life is proud to announce Anna M. Royek and Kyle R. Hough as the 2015 recipients of the Herman L. Moses Scholarship. Each year, the scholarship benefits one male and one female undergraduate or graduate student employed as student workers in Student Life.Royek, a junior nursing student from Corry, Pennsylvania, currently works as a resident assistant in Boreman Hall. Haugh, a third-year law student from Azle, Texas, currently works as a graduate resident assistant in Dadisman/Stalnaker Halls. He received his MPA from WVU in 2013, and prior to attending WVU, he received his bachelor’s degrees in public administration and political science from West Texas A&M University.
There is a student application and supervisor nomination form that must be completed. Other scholarship guidelines are as follows:
- The student must be employed by a department in the Division of Student Life
- Scholarship recipients must apply each year to be considered
- Applicants must have at least a 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average
The scholarship is awarded each fall semester so check back in August 2016 for the student application and supervisor nomination form.
